I've never been to the Met, but I certainly would love to see these amazing crystal chandeliers in person! Aren't they gorgeous?! I read here that the designer, Hans Harold Rathe, was inspired by a book about the Big Bang theory. I think that makes them even more grand, if that's possible. Supposedly the chandeliers silently ascend to the ceiling as the lights dim right before the show starts. Ah, I have goosebumps just thinking about it. One day, I tell you. One day.
