Golden Globes!

I couldn't let it all go by without throwing out my two cents, now could I?  What a crazy show, right?!  Ricky Gervais is kind of my hero for saying all of the things that we were thinking.  The only thing I wish we would have seen were some choice reactions that were noticeably absent from the telecast.  For example, Angelina's when Ricky Gervais basically ripped her movie apart -- where was that because I'm sure it was priceless!  Hands down the Scientologist joke was the most brutal and most fantastic of the night.  I'll say it again -- I love me some Ricky Gervais!

I was also a fan of some of the acceptance speeches.  Chris Colfer was by far my favorite and his absolute shock at winning was adorable.  Colin Firth was a favorite and I loved the shot of Ed O'Neill after Katey Sagal won, too cute.  I wasn't happy that The Social Network won, but what can you do (I'm hoping it won't take the Oscar).  AND Natalie Portman's speech was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!  I get it, I get it, she's pregnant, but I don't care.  It was terrible!  And totally unnecessary because we all knew she was going to win.  Even she knew.

Now...let's get real.  Let's talk fashion...

My ABSOLUTE favorite of the night was Olivia Wilde.  I squealed with delight every time she popped up on the screen.  Marchesa, I tip my hat to you.

Anne Hathaway totally knocked it out of the park.  She looked so sophisticated and fashion-forward.  Rachel Zoe knew what she was doing that night!

Even Angelina stepped out of her comfort zone last night.  We never seen The Ange in color!  My friend, Bridgid, said she looked like the Emerald City and I totally agreed.  It only made me like it more.

Another green lovely (there was so much green!) was Mila Kunis.  I loved this dress and I'm always impressed when such a tiny, petite lady can look so va-va-voom.

Now we need to move on to the bad.  There were SO MANY bad dresses the other night I couldn't believe it!  I can't remember the last time I've been so put-out by the fashion choices at an awards choice.  For real.

Natalie, Natalie, Natalie.  Not only was your speech laughable (not that crazy laugh you let out during it.  not that), but your dress was embarrassing.  The material was a poor choice, it makes me think about silk/satin sheets that are never a good idea.  AND THE ROSE.  What's with the rose?  Not just the bloom too, but the stem!  Oh dear.  Let's hope you get this out of your system before the Oscars.

This one breaks my heart.  Michelle Williams always look so cute and put-together and stylish that I was STUPEFIED when I saw her on the red carpet.  I don't care if this is Valentino, it is terrible!  It looks like a dress I owned in 1997 and, in fact, my dress was cuter.  The color was bad, the fit was bad, the DAISES.  What is with you ladies and the three dimensional flowers?!  DON'T DO IT AGAIN.  Whoever dressed Michelle the other night should never be employed again.  Give me a call, Michelle.  I will do you no wrong, girl.

I could go on and on, but I think this will suffice.  What did you guys think?  Do you agree or disagree with my picks?  Tell me, tell me!

Oh, and yeah!  Did you catch that Catherine Zeta-Jones was wearing the dress that I blogged about here (and falsely predicted it would be on Lea Michele)??  I'm sure that's what you guys thought about when you saw it.  Didn't she look incredible?
