Pearl at a wedding.
Who said pearls were stuffy? I don't know, did someone say that? I don't own any pearls myself, but I definitely wouldn't mind doing so for this outfit. This is my attempt to present an outfit not fit for a casual Saturday. Did I succeed? I kind of love the idea of this one for a lovely mid-afternoon wedding. I really like how the cardigan adds some visual interest and tempers the rest of the outfit, which could otherwise possibly be taking itself too seriously.

Unseen footage.
Uhh, did YOU know she had a partly shaved head? I did not. Not that it ruins anything, it just definitely makes it a different, different look. Veeeerrrry interesting.

Isn't she lovely?
Don't ya think? I just love street style. It's so inspirational to see real women in their real life just doing it right. I see so many stylish women (and men) in Chicago every day, I love it. Street style gives me way more inspiration than magazines ever do. If I wouldn't feel so ridiculous and, not to mention, I am absolutely not a photographer, I would totally stop these stylish ladies to document their outfits. Maybe one day.
On the wall.
I love these!! And they are only $22! Supposedly they are super easy to use and remove and move around and attach and everything they are supposed to do, at least that is what the reviews say. They also come in black and chrome, but I really love the white. Too bad my walls are white. In related news, I am aware that this blog has become quite design-centric lately. I'm sure it is a fleeting thing, as it is just all so exciting and new for me at the moment. This too shall pass. Eventually I'll move back to clothes and shoes because let's face it, that is where my true love lies.

It's my sister's BIRTHDAY!!
Happy birthday, Em!! I tried to think of all the things I could post here for you and figured nothing could top Fievel. Friends, my lovely sister lives in Atlanta and on a sojourn to Chicago she and I bought the same purse. Hers black, mine bright orange. This prompted me to start singing Somewhere Out There, terribly, at the check-out counter. For you see, we would always be connected...in a sense. This of course embarrassed her greatly and she just laughed and shook her head at me, which is usually how our encounters go. A lot of laughing and ridiculousness, and I wouldn't have it any other way. If you happen to have a sister in your life I hope she is as wonderful as mine. I feel very lucky to have such a thoughtful, loving, and generous sister and I am especially grateful to have her as a friend. She always takes me straight to Chick-Fil-A from the airport. She makes sure to play "chick" music when I'm around because she knows that's all I listen to. She is the only person that I can talk to on the phone for two hours and still not have covered everything. She thinks it's funny when I reenact certain events from reality tv shows, even if her cat doesn't. She will sing songs from musicals on the top of her lungs with me on long road trips. And on said road trips, she will calmly deal with the outrageous excitement I exude when we get close to our destination. Happy birthday, dear sister. Emily, I wanted to include a picture of Colin Farrell because you talked about him A LOT last weekend. =) This is my birthday present for you. You're welcome.
